Strategically located in Carmona Cavite, south of Metro Manila, just 30 minutes away from the Makati Business Center, and with a total land area of 15,000 sq. meters, HSCI has been supporting industries in the CALABARZON area, the heart of the industrial development in Luzon. HSCI has a total processing capacity of 60,000 MT per year.

HSCI was established in 1990 as a joint venture between a Filipino company and Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan with a capitalization of Php 75 million. The commercial operation was started in March 1991. In 1997, Mitsubishi Corporation took full control of HSCI by taking over the 100% share of the company.

Coil Tech Cebu, a steel service center in Mactan, Cebu, was acquired by HSCI in 2002, expanding further its operation in the Philippines. All Nissho Iwai Corporation accounts of Coil Tech Manila were also absorbed in this year, giving HSCI more experiences in the processing of steel coils especially those intended for the electronic components industry.

In 2003, HSCI became 100% owned by METAL ONE CORPORATION which was established in Japan with 60% share of Mitsubishi Corporation and 40% share of Nissho Iwai Corporation, making it one of the biggest steel-trading firm in the world.

Now, HSCI has a total capitalization of Php 443.53 million.

Keeping up with the pace of globalization, HSCI achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification by TUV Product Service Ltd. in September 2003.

HSCI is a PEZA (Philippine Export Zone Authority) registered enterprise capable of providing smoother and faster delivery especially to the export oriented customers.
